Debt and Doubt

A friend called me recently—needed help, advice, reassurance, accountability, didn’t know exactly what. Personal finances seemed like an incomprehensible nightmare. Help!!!

It’s amazing what the words “I’ve been there. I got through it, and you can, too” can do for someone’s outlook.

It’s amazing what significanct things can be accomplished when someone has the open honesty to admit there’s a problem and ask for assistance.

It’s amazing what good can flourish when we care about each other enough to help—without expecting anything in return.

That’s God at work in needy lives. That’s a reasonable hope.
